Mr. Gurvey is the managing partner of the Law Firm of Rowen, Gurvey & Win.  He joined the firm in 1992.  He is a graduate of Brown University with an honors degree in Ethics and Political Philosophy. Mr. Gurvey received his law degree in 1990 from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, his hometown. He also attended the renowned American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and was a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship.

Upon graduation from Brown, Mr. Gurvey became an advertising account executive with the Leo Burnett Advertising Agency in Chicago and Toronto. After attending acting school, he worked for Princess Cruises as an entertainer and disc jockey. Mr. Gurvey’s first job in the legal arena was at the NBC Legal Department in Burbank, California, focusing on entertainment, media, intellectual property and corporate law. Soon thereafter, Mr. Gurvey started his own production company geared toward the development of fact-based drama television programming and children’s television shows and videos.

As a respected litigator in workers' compensation, Mr. Gurvey has spoken at the California Applicant Attorney’s Association Convention, as well as speaking to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Association, and other labor associations and unions.He is on the Board of Governors of the California Applicant’s Attorneys Association.


Mr. Win is a partner at the Law Firm of Rowen, Gurvey & Win. He joined the firm in 1991. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Win was a clerk to then Judge Mark Kahn, now the Associate Chief Judge of the Division of Workers’ Compensation Administration.

As an experienced trial attorney, Mr. Win handles all phases of a litigated workers’ compensation case. In addition to handling workers’ compensation cases, Mr. Win litigates cases on behalf of injured workers’ pursuing disability retirement benefits through such organizations as the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA).  Mr. Win, also, represents injured workers who are seeking Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits, from the federal government.  Mr. Win is a member of the California Applicants Attorneys Association, the lead association representing injured workers in the State of California.


Mr. Feddersen received his Juris Doctor degree from University of Notre Dame, in South Bend, Indiana, in 1994.  Mr. Feddersen graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Diego State University, with a major in English, and a minor in Russian, in 1991.

Mr. Feddersen has an international legal background, which includes working with banks and law firms in Moscow.  Mr. Feddersen had his own general practice, which included representing injured workers, for approximately ten years.  Mr. Feddersen then worked for a workers' compensation defense law firm, representing major insurance companies and large self-insured employers.

As evident by his diverse background, Mr. Feddersen brings a broad legal perspective, as well as specialized knowledge of the perspective of private insured workers' compensation defendants, to the Law Firm of Rowen, Gurvey & Win.


A graduate of Monterey College of Law, Ms. Pryor has practiced law exclusively in the workers' compensation arena.  After starting out as a defense attorney, Ms. Pryor's passion for defending the rights of injured workers brought her to applicant attorney representation.

In her undergraduate work, Ms. Pryor majored in theatre arts and minored in psychology.  Her professional journey includes having worked as a singer, actor, musician, and voice-over artist.  An eclectic life and employment experience provides Ms. Pryor with a special understanding as to the challenges facing the injured worker, as well as practical knowledge regarding the complexities inherent in the workers' compensation system.


Ms. Rad received her Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University Law School. Prior to attending law school, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from California Polytechnic University, with a major in Gender, Ethnicity and Multi-cultural Studies. She has vast experience on the applicant’s side of the workers’ compensation practice, previously honing her skills at another aggressive applicant attorney firm. Ms. Rad has an acute acumen for the law, having attended countless seminars and conferences. She earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. She represents applicants in all aspects of workers’ compensation.

Ms. Rad was appointed a professorship at California Polytechnic University and teaches a course in Women and the Law with an emphasis on Constitutional Law. She is an accomplished tennis player having been highly ranked in California throughout her high school years. She has a keen interest in health and fitness, and is a tireless advocate for the disabled and the injured.

ROBERT YOUNG :  Of Counsel

Robert J. Young was educated at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and earned his law degree at the National Law Center at George Washington University in Washington D.C. He is a member of the California and the New York State Bars. He has served as Vice-President of the Santa Monica Airport Association and is a licensed Commercial Pilot with Multi-Engine/Single-Engine and instrument ratings. Mr. Young has an extensive and varied business experience and has an in-depth knowledge of business, entertainment, real estate, and aviation ventures. He is an adept financial advisor, business development manager, and counsel.

Mr. Young presently is the Managing Member of the Orange County Flyers Professional Baseball Club, Fullerton, California, and Na Koa Ikaika Maui Professional Baseball Club, both in the Golden Baseball League. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for The Joyful Child Foundation, Orange County, California, We Care About Kids, a non-profit charitable organization founded by famed character actor Allan Rich, and the U.S. Army Southern California Community Advisory Board.

Mr. Young is currently the Principal of Lindenbaum & Young, P.C., which maintains its law offices in Brooklyn, New York, and Los Angeles, California, and resides in West Los Angeles, California.

KENNETH H. ROWEN  (1942 - 2007)

Mr. Rowen was the founder of Law Firm of Kenneth H. Rowen. He graduated from the University of Illinois in only two years, then moved back to Los Angeles where he attended law school at the University of Southern California. While in law school, Mr. Rowen was President of the USC Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. After receiving his Juris Doctor degree from USC in 1965, Mr. Rowen worked as a workers’ compensation defense attorney for 18 years, in addition to having a general civil litigation and trial practice. He then undertook representation of those who were injured on their jobs.

Mr. Rowen represented injured workers since 1983. In addition to litigating workers’ compensation cases, Mr. Rowen represented clients in Social Security Disability cases before the administrative law judges of the Social Security Administration, as well as clients pursuing disability retirement cases before such administrative agencies as the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), State Teachers Retirement System (STRS), and Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA).

Mr. Rowen became one of the first attorneys in the State of California to be certified, by the State Bar of California, as a specialist in workers’ compensation law. Mr. Rowen is a past president of the Los Angeles Valley Applicant’s Attorneys Association (LAVAAA) and was on the Board of Governors of the California Applicants' Attorneys Association. Mr. Rowen’s over forty years of legal experience in the workers’ compensation field made him one of the most well-respected workers’ compensation attorneys in the State of California

The legacy of Kenneth Rowen continues with strong representation for the injured worker, based on the principles and strategies that he established over his brilliant legal career.




Mr. Kramer graduated from the University of Arizona, with distinction, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Business, in 1985. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School (Loyola Marymount University - Los Angeles), in 1988.

During law school, Mr. Kramer was chosen for an externship as a clerk for Justice Earl Johnson, Jr. of the California Court of Appeal, Second District. He clerked for Justice Johnson during the summers of 1986 and 1987, working extensively on several published Appellate court decisions.

Mr. Kramer joined the Law Firm of Rowen, Gurvey & Win, in early 1991. Mr. Kramer has lectured extensively to injured workers, informing them of their rights under the California workers’ compensation laws and federal social security disability laws.  His vast knowledge of the California workers’ compensation laws allows him to excel in all phases of litigation of a workers’ compensation claim, from the initial client intake through trial.



Mr. Summers joined the Law Firm of Rowen, Gurvey & Win as a Senior Paralegal after many years of experience advocating on behalf of the injured worker. He possesses in depth knowledge of the law and has been actively involved in many successful motions, petitions and appeals. Mr. Summers received his paralegal certificate in 1992, and subsequently honed his skills at well-known law firms in Northern California. He received a workers compensation certificate from the UC Davis extenstion program. He has been a panelist at the California Applicant’s Attorneys Association Paralegal and Staff Seminar, as well as a lecturer for workers compensation classes at the UC Davis extension program.




Ms. Maldonado is a Legal Assistant with over 12 years of experience working with both applicant and defense workers compensation firms in Southern California. She posesses an unwavering sensitivity to the plight of the injured worker, which provides a strong foundation for her dedication to our clients' well being. She received her bachelors degree in political science from California State University Northridge in 2003. Ms. Maldonado is fluent in English and Spanish.
